Defense AI
Defense programs are becoming dependent on AI, autonomy, simulation, digital engineering and large datasets — workloads with infrastructure requirements that differ materially from generic enterprise cloud.
The infrastructure problem
AI-enabled defense work concentrates demand on high-density compute, secure storage, secure data movement and simulation capacity, under CUI and classified handling requirements. Surrounding private-sector infrastructure may not yet be purpose-built for those workloads.
Evidence of local AI-enabled testing
Eglin AFB is an active AI and autonomy test environment. VENOM modified F-16 testing is evidence of local AI-enabled defense testing — mission relevance is demonstrable, even though procurable commercial demand still has to be proven.
